What had happened?! Everyone had been fine a couple of hours ago. His mother Sakura had been turned to stone along with the other villagers of Kamiki. Cloud wanted to find out, and so he searched the village for answers but only found more questions. Why was he so special to the beings that had cast this curse upon the village that he would be the only one left untouched? It wasn't like he had a great purpose or anything, he was a stray dog. He found his brother, Shin, but he had been turned into a statue also! Why him only?? He would find out soon enough, he assumed.
There was no trace of information that could help him solve this problem in Kamiki Village, it seemed. And so, he moved on to the next area. The River of the Heavens, which was a nicer looking place. It didn't look as dangerous, and yet he knew it very well could be. Cloud sniffed the air, but didn't really find anything. He could still find no information here! Keep walking, and hope for the best. . . he would not be able to defend himself if he were to be attacked.
[ Cloud will get his blue markings after meeting Yomigami, the god of restoration, okay? ]

(Okay)
He felt it... Utan could tell the darkness was back. He began to draw in his strength. Gaining what powers had been stripped from him. Yet, not all of them, he'd watched as time passed, the years fly by. Though soon he desended back onto the world. Into Kamiki village, half hoping to see Amataratsu. Yet he knew she wasnt here, especially with the shape of the village. He sniffed the air, catching a slight scent of anouther hound wandering nearby.
Once again he was hopful to see the goddess and trotted along, heading on to the River of Heavens, he knew if she'd go anywhere it'd be there during such a time. Though being in such a pure place, reduced him to an old looking white wolf, though he could live with it atleast as he continued forwards, sniffing at the ground, following the scent.

Cloud was just over the first bridge in the River of Heavens, nearly surrounded by pottery He had found no answers in the River of the Heavens so far. Nothing. He did see anything that could be associated with Kamiki's deep and peculiar misfortune. But then unintentionally he felt a scent go through his nose, and it startled him at first. There was someone here with him?! He was too scared to actually realize the scent did not hold anger or agression in it. He did not speak a word, just kept amazingly quiet. Trusting his instincts, he slowly yet cautiously made his way back toward the bridge. . .
When Cloud first spotted the being he growled defensively, only naturally. But then. . . he saw that the being was nothing but a old looking white wolf. What was a wolf doing here? Maybe he knew something about the curse in Kamiki? There was a good way to find out: stop growling, go down to the old wolf, keep your distance just in case, and ask politely if he knew anything. So taking a deep breath to calm himself from the previous scare, Cloud padded slowly toward the wolf and stayed about four whole feet away from him.
He sniffed the air, keeping his gentle glare fixated on the old wolf. He still found it hard to say something. What should he say? Ask him right off the spot if he knew what was going on? Something in which he doubted he did know. Or the polite thing to do? Introduce yourself. He didn't really have time for that, Kamiki was in big trouble. "Hello," he began, slightly hesitantly. "You wouldn't. . . you wouldn't happen to know anything about what's going on in Kamiki Village, would you? It's very important." He said this very slowly, and calmly.

The old wolf eyed him some, than gave a saddened sigh, "You are not who I wished to see..." he glared a little, "I do know... Do you know nothing of your history? Especially if you are allowed to enter here" He looked up at the sky, before sitting, his bushy tail laying over his paws. Utan currently looked like a frail old dog.
He gave a soft chuckle, "Ah what blood you carry, I can smell it from here" he raised his nose to the air, "Though to be such a mere pup..." he snorted. Aggitated, he growled some, standing and crouching. He continued to snarl, teeth bared, "Allow me to see if you hold any strength worth honoring!" he snappd at the air challengingly.

His history? What was so significant about his history? His parentage did not seem very. . . notable. Except for his father coming from Kamui, but was that really honourable? He in fact had never wondered why he'd been allowed to enter the River of Heavens. . . many would call him stupid, and at the moment what other word was there to describe it? Cloud had only been too worried for his family and Kamiki to wonder about that. But, wait. . . had the wolf just said that he DID know what was going on with Kamiki Village?
Whatever noble blood he carried, this old wolf seemed to sense it. There was something more to the male than met the eye. "Allow me to see if you hold any strength worth honoring!" The wolf snarled and bared his teeth widely. He wanted to fight??! What if he was one of the beings that had cursed Kamiki Village? Than he'd certainly fight him. . .
"You want me to f-fight you?" He stammered with hesitation. This was so very strange to him! The curse in Kamiki, his supposed noble history, and now he'd have to fight physically? If the wolf knew what was going on and possibly how to fix it, he would would fight him. "Alright!" Cloud got into a fighting stance, wagging his white tail to and fro. He bared his fangs, which were quite large for a dog. It was a good advantage though, because wolf-like fangs would have tremendous strength in them.
"I will fight you," Cloud growled. "But will you promise to tell me what's going on in Kamiki if I win?" A simple deal. With a seemingly strong wolf.

He chuckled, "That is a deal i will accept" he wagged his tail, excited to have -hopefully- a reasonably good fight. He began to move forwards but stoped and perked his ears, flicking back towards the entrance. He growled abit muttering, "We may have no time for this... Though being what you are, even if you didnt win I would give information" he snarled abit than walked forwards.
"It is best we see what we can see about your dormant abilities" he eyed the sky, "If im right one should be around here somewhere... up ahead possibly... One of those celestials always hides here just incase something like this is to happen again" he looked at the pup, "Can you keep up?" he walked on deeper into the realm.

The pup bared his teeth further when the male advanced further, but then. . . Cloud said nothing, but perked his rotated ears up when the wolf said that he'd give the information whether he won or not. He hadn't expected to hear that, but he still grateful for it inside. And then the male mentioned something that certainly made him wonder. One of the celestials?! "You mean. . . the celestial gods?" He asked. "I don't really think. . ." His voice trailed off, as he was going to say that he didn't have the right to talk to them. Had the wolf not just said that he had a signifcant history? "Why are we looking for one, anyway?" He inquired. Yep, time to start the dumb questions. Hopefully it would be his last, though.
"Of course!" Cloud said, trotting up to the male. He had never been to the River of the Heaven,s only heard stories of it. No one hd ever entered it, at least from what he knew. But he just assumed that it was because they were not worthy of it, and from the looks of it he was right. And. . . there was an answer to why he had not been turned to stone while everyone else had! Perhaps it was because of his history? He was more curious than ever to find out what was making him so special.
"My name is Cloud," he said humbly. It was no time for introductions, but he figured it was the best thing he could do at the moment. After all, he wanted to know the old wolf's name instead of him being a stranger. "W-what's yours?"

The old wolf continued on, chuckling to the pups yammering, soon stopping and looking around, "Keep your eyes to the sky boy, im sure only you can find it..." he seemed as though he wasnt going to tell his name. Yet sure enough sat, "My name is Utan" He looked at the pup, "Cloud is it.. huh.. not a real interesting name, but simple and to the point i supose..." He raised his nose to the air again.
He found a more clear area to sit, "Look around for it, only you can sence it atleast... hopfully find it..."

Utan. So that was his name. "Strong name," he commented politely and and looked to the sky as Utan had told him to. Cloud would supposedly be able to see the celestial in the sky. How? Just keep looking for shapes. Then, after looking for about 40 seconds, he saw a shape in the stars come into his view. It was kind of in the shape a dragon. . . Was this a celestial?? What was he supposed to do now?
"I think I see something!" He told Utan, half excitedly and half worriedly. He just could not find out what to do now. "What am I, or you, supposed to do now?" Unless the "celestial" would come down on its own.

Utan nodded slightly, waiting patiently as the pup surveyed the sky. Though when he finally piped. Up and began to ask questions, he shruged, "You should have some power to bring it out, I do not though" he knew little to nothing about celestial brushes, he wasn't the greatest drawer either. The old dog raised his hind leg scratching beneath his chin.
Atleast he wasnt the pethetic type of old wolf, mostly the acts younger than he looks.
