Serius hissed angrilly. Moving out of the water, it had begun to drain him of what little strength he had. He'd been attacked every since he'd awoken from his resting place. Multiple gashes along his armored skin. Blood dripping onto the sandy shore. He saw quite a few dark clouds, but they were not as bad as the first time he'd seen this.
Though he pulled himself from the shore, it was the best he could probably do. Collapsing half way onto the grass. Netting was tangled in with his curved claws and long spines. He snarled some, the beasts had evolved since last time.
Serius wasnt alone unfortunitly. The creatures had followed him from the sea. And were persistant on finishing the job. He tried standing, but couldnt find the strength in him to do so. He had no choice but to lay and wait for them to kill him, or for help to arrive.

A small grey cat was padding along the beach when it saw Serius. the cat transformed into a human and ran to him while unsheathing a blade. "get away you monsters!" she yelled as she ran at one of the beasts.

It wasn't a particularly nice day. The sky was overcast with grey clouds, the sun just barely managing to poke through in the occasional miniscule gap in that monochrome blanket. It was...irritating as well as disconcerting. It spoke of a storm. The seas were apparently listening, with all of the roaring and sloshing around the waves seemed to be doing. He was no sailor, but he certainly knew that the sea became violent during the storm.
And the fact that he had to walk along the shore made the boy very nervous.
He hated the sea already, but it took on a completely new level of fearsomeness when it stormed. His face was, for once, slightly twisted with a look of worry as he stood still on the top of the hill that lead down onto the beach. He could almost feel himself trembling. He was on the threshold of fear, but even if that were the fact of the matter, it didn't change the fact that he had to find a way to cross. Sei-an wasn't far; that would be where he would take refuge from the coming storm.
The hard part was actually getting there. Would the waves swallow him up? Or worse, just take his wares? He frowned profusely at these horrifying ideas that flashed in his mind like the lightning that would come, and with the lightning would come irritating loud noises. Thunder. He couldn't say he was fond of it. Or the rain. Or the swelling of the ocean.
Perhaps it would be best for him to just not think about it? He couldn't escape the fact that he had to cross, preferably before the storm actually came- which it hadn't yet. He huffed and quite reluctantly took his first step down the ramp. And then another. And another. It wasn't long until he was at the bottom of it, and he felt a great deal both accomplished and threatened. He had to move, and he had to move fast; the waves didn't sound placated by his presence at all. With fast feet he moved across the small strip of grass and-
What the hell is that?
There was something on the far side of the beach, and a few...things gathered around it, from the look of it, though he could be mistaken. Things tended to get a little distorted when one squinted their eyes. He couldn't be sure, but that was what the shape(s) seemed to be.
It piqued his curiosity. Carefully, he walked closer to the thing(s), taking up a hiding place behind a nearby tree. He peered out, cautious to keep as much of his person hidden behind the tree as he could, and looked at perhaps one of the stranger scenes he'd ever looked at. Getting closer answered no questions whatsoever. The only thing that he could gather was that it was some sort of weird dragon and that the things around it were beating on it.
...And that a cat had just turned into a human and pulled out a blade.
That would have surprised him if he weren't able to do something similar himself, but it was still a questionable thing that was unfolding before him. He was more than a little dumbfounded by the oddity, and, unsure of quite what to do, decided it best to simply remain behind the tree and out of sight. It suited him just fine until he could figure out that the hell was going on and how to do it; smart little foxes didn't run into strange situations without a plan.

Sirus hissed bitting down onto one of the imps heads. Though the somewhat larger ones evaded his talons. It wouldn't take much to cripple the old beast. He bellowed to an arrow embedding itself deep into his hip. His long tail swaying out and throwing a couple back into the sea. He took little notice to those approaching, yet as soon as he did he bellowed out at them. Enraged as it was he wouldn't be able to tell the difference between friend or foe at the moment. As soon as a spear was driven into his ribs he would collapse, not dead but tired. It would take much more to take one of his clan down anyways. Especially with how few knew of their anatomy striking a vital organ would be quite hard.
